No one likes to see their teen excluded, but what if they're worried about being included by the wrong people? This happens to both girls and boys, but the female friendship dynamic can be especially challenging.

We spend so much time encouraging our kids to mend friendships, when we should probably be encouraging them to find new ones instead if our child isn't truly being valued.

Our reaction as parents is always the same - How can I make it better? But what we should really be asking our teens is: What are you gaining by keeping this friendship?

This post was shared more than 200 times this past week on our social media and we can tell it struck a nerve with the parents.

Sometimes leaving friendships can impact a teen's social standing or opportunities, but finding people who actually accept you for you is priceless.
