One of the things we get asked about the most is how to discipline a teenager--especially one who doesn't act like they care. Our number one suggestion: think about the consequences before the behavior happens. So, that means, before handing the car keys over, what are the consequences for speeding or using a phone while driving or staying out past curfew? Before your teen starts high school, come up with the consequences for certain behaviors, such as vaping, skipping school, etc. This takes the emotion out of it.
