Worried You Are Breaking the Spirit of Your Strong-Willed Teen

In this issue:

Hi Reader,

If, like me, you're raising a strong-willed teen, you know it’s both a challenge and a gift. My daughter pushes boundaries, questions my authority, and often refuses to back down. The constant battles can be so incredibly frustrating. There have been many times I've been tempted to try to “tame” her strong will.

However, I know that in the long run that strong spirit will serve her well in many ways. So, the real goal is to guide her without crushing that feisty spirit of hers. That means setting firm but fair boundaries, choosing battles wisely, and building mutual respect. When handled with patience and consistency, our teens' determination can become their greatest strength.

Thanks for being a part of our community.
